Reddit Launching New Ad Tools

Apr 2, 2025

Reddit is not normally the first place marketers think of when it comes to digital advertising; historically, it’s been a platform users flock to discuss true crime and politics or find assurance that their twitching eyelid is normal and not some super rare medical condition.

But determined to keep up with the Joneses, Reddit is increasingly redefining itself, offering novel features to attract businesses. Recently, Reddit launched several new updates designed to help marketers maximize their ad campaigns. Here’s what you need to know.

Campaign Import Function

Reddit’s Campaign Import Function empowers advertisers to import a campaign from Meta, tweak it, and optimize it for Reddit users. This function aims to increase traffic, engagement, and leads while simplifying the Reddit ad process and making it easier to get started (for those new to Reddit). There are some limitations, however, including the following:

  • Campaign-level budgets can’t be imported
  • Only image ads and carousel ads are supported
  • Only one creative asset per ad can be imported

Review Page

Reddit has added a review page inside the Ads Manager, giving marketers an overview of all their campaigns in one easy-to-access spot. This makes it easier for campaign managers to catch errors or typos, edit their ads, fix brand inconsistencies, and re-publish.

Reddit Pixel Integration

Reddit has also enabled Pixel integration with Google Tag Manager. This integration gives marketers more intel on their campaigns, making tracking what’s working and what’s not easier while verifying activity. In partnership with Reddit’s Events Overview (found under Events Manager), marketers can better understand their conversions, enabling them to refine their campaigns more effectively while gaining more insight into consumers’ minds.

Reddit is upping its ad game with every new update and feature. If you have any questions about this platform or its changes, give us a shout; we’ll be happy to help.
